Your dog must be able to work in close proximity to other dogs and people. This will include the instructor holding your dog’s collar at times. You are responsible for your dog and its behaviour. If your dog shows any signs of aggression or antisocial behaviour, you may be asked to leave the class at your instructor’s discretion.
Some dogs may not be suited to a class environment and may hinder the learning of others. Please respect the decision of your instructor, if they feel your dog is not suited to working in a class. If you are asked to leave the class, your instructor may offer you 1-1s as an alternative if they deem it appropriate. Alternatively you may wish to attend the remainder of your course alone to then train your dog at home. You will not be offered a refund.
In adverse weather conditions, your instructor will decide whether the Paddock is safe to use or not. They will try to give you as much warning as possible whether or not your class will go ahead or be cancelled.
Agility is an active, high impact sport which can cause injuries to you and your dog. You are responsible for the welfare and safety of your dog. Your instructor will always do their best to provide a safe environment for you and your dog, but will not accept any liability for accident, injury, illness, damage or loss affecting any persons, dogs or property while at the classes.
Please arrive on time to class, especially when parking in the paddock because the gate will be closed punctually for the safety of the dogs in the class. Your instructor will not wait for you. If you are late, you will need to park in the car park next to the Training Barn and walk to the Paddock. You must wait for your instructor to allow you to open the gate before entering as there may be dogs running free.
If you have a bitch in season, your instructor may deem it acceptable for you to attend depending on which stage your bitch’s season is at. However, if your instructor feels that your bitch is in any way stressed or is too much of a distraction for the other dogs in your class, you will be asked not to attend until her season is over. You may attend the course alone so that you don’t miss any of the content, to then train your dog at home. In some circumstances, you may be able to continue your course as 1-1s until your bitch’s season is over before rejoining the class, but this will not be able every time and will be at your instructor’s discretion. You will not be refunded for any weeks missed.
Dogs must be 10 months or older to start agility, depending on its size and breed. You will need to discuss with your instructor when it is suitable for your dog to start.
Please notify your instructor of any underlying medical or dietary conditions that may affect your dog’s participation. Your instructor may decide to alter the exercises taught in the class to best accommodate your dog’s ability, especially due to age or physical limitations. For example, older dogs may run at a lower jump height to limit any damage to their joints.
If your dog has come in contact with, or is showing signs of any contagious diseases, you must not attend classes until your vet has deemed it safe to do so. You are encouraged to attend the course without your dog so that you can continue your training at home. If your dog is unable to attend, you will not be refunded for any weeks missed.
All dogs must be either vaccinated against the three core diseases or Titre tested.
Once you have booked your first course, an account will be created for you. This aims to make future bookings easier for you. Please keep the details in your account up to date.
Our training facilities are part of a very active working farm so there are times when livestock will have been moved through the paddock. As a result, there may be animal droppings left behind, but we will try to clear this up before any lessons. We will endeavour to ensure that this is as little a distraction for the dogs as possible.
Cancellations
Courses are non-refundable unless we are given 14 days written notice prior to the course start date.
Depending on the type of course you are attending, you may be able to transfer any payment made to a different course. However, courses will not be transferable into 1-1 sessions.
If you are unable to attend a session within your course, please give your instructor as much notice as possible. Your instructor may be able to offer you a 1-1 session to catch up with course content, but this may not always be possible.
If your instructor has to cancel a session within a course, an extra session will be added at the end of the course. This way you will not miss any of the content.
Weekly classes are non-refundable unless we are given 7 days written notice prior to the date you have booked.
However, if someone else is able to take your cancelled place in the class, your booking can be transferred to a future session as credit. Please understand that this will not always be possible.
Credit may be given for weekly classes in the event of the instructor cancelling. This will be valid for any future sessions within a year. Alternatively a refund for the cancelled sessions may be given at the time of the cancellation.
In the event of illness, our instructors will try to make sure they are able to cover each other, but in exceptional circumstances, your instructor may cancel your next session with limited notice.
